Caramel Apple Cinnamon Roll Cake.
This is a great recipe I found over at www.sweetrecipeas.com
Modified to fit my smaller pan.
Ingredients:
For the Cake: 2 cups flour 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup sugar 3 tsp Baking Powder 1 cup whole milk 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract 2 eggs 1/2 cup unsalted butter (Melted). 2 cups apples peeled and diced 2 cup Caramel Sauce For the Topping: 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 TBSP Flour 1 TBSP Cinnamon For the Galze: 1 cup Powdered Sugar 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 2 TBSP Apple Cider 1 TBSP Caramel Sauce |
In a stand Mixer add the flour, slat, sugar, baking powder, milk, vanilla and 2 eggs.
Combine thoroughly then add the melted butter. Peel and dice apples and place in a bowl. Pour Caramel over Apple pieces and stir to coat. Fold Apple pieces into batter. Pour into 9 X 9 baking pan. For the topping mix together the brown sugar, flour and Cinnamon until smooth. Spread topping over the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min or until toothpick comes out clean. While the cake is cooling mix together the Icing Sugar, Vanilla Extract, Apple Cider and Caramel Sauce. Spread over the top. Cut into slices and enjoy. |
